meet the designer

As a wedding stationer, design is in the detail and how each element is drawn together to tell your story for your day.

I’ve always been passionate about design, illustration and hand-craftsmanship – the sheer enjoyment and satisfaction of creating something beautiful and unique, and the smiles and happiness that your paper stationery shares with your loved ones.

Over the past 10 years I’ve worked with a variety of amazing brands, at the top of their game (and some of my childhood aspirations), to design and create new, beautiful, gift and craft products, specifically for the end user to gain pleasure and a real sense of achievement from creating and crafting. In designing the content of each kit, it was about creating an experience – adding all the lovely finishing touches and personalised options, sharing techniques, including lots of ideas and inspiration, but above all keeping it simple. “Simple is beautiful” – keeping it simple eliminates those moments of doubt; “Can I really make this?” by including tried and tested instructions, clear step by steps, and making sure everything you need is to hand and that you can achieve stunning results no matter what your creative experience to date.

I LOVE tinkering and perfecting new ideas, crafts and techniques – including recipes (even when friends are coming round to dinner – much to the bemusement of my family and fiancé). For me, trying a new recipe is about making an effort, to do something special for your loved ones, that makes the day so much more than just your normal everyday. Nothing can quite beat the feeling of accomplishment when you’ve given the time and love to create something by hand, that’s authentically you down to the detail.

As a creative, my mind doesn’t tend to switch off – there is alway an idea or two floating round ready for the right occasion – (if you get stuck for ideas you know where to come!). I’m a detail person and a deep thinker, so creative thinking allows me to draw real connections between elements (themes, stories, ideas, colour schemes) and the experience you are looking to create. It’s this depth of insight and industry knowledge that when designing your stationery collection, whether customised to your day or a bespoke design, is used to marry up and define the elements that complete your look and style for your wedding day.

It is this creative drive that I wanted to capture and share with you within the Paper Buttercup Stationery Collections, to inspire, to create and share your story.

Your stationery is the ‘premiere viewing’ for your wedding – setting the scene and style for your perfect day with gorgeous colour schemes, typography, textures and finishing touches. You can be involved hands-on, as much or as little as you would like, in the process of creating your stationery; from handpicking the details through to crafting your very own designer stationery – which creates such a unique, personal experience shared with your fiancé, friends and loved ones.

Handpick your day!
